Good old water, aka H2O. The most common skincare ingredient of all. You can usually find it right in the very first spot of the ingredient list, meaning it’s the biggest thing out of all the stuff that makes up the product.

Protože se v zásadě jedná o olejové pleťové mléko, byla jsem skutečně překvapená, že mojí pleti vyhovoval. Teda, vyhovoval jí během zimy. Rozhodně výborně vyživuje sušší pleť i bez hutné textury. Obecně není na pleti těžký, jde to s ním ovšem přehnat. Příliš silná vrstva se špatně vstřebává, dělá na pleti bílý film a jen sedí na povrchu. Když se ale nanese rovnoměrně, představuje spolehlivý denní krém proti vysoušení. Nikdy se mi s ním přes den nevysušila pleť, ani v těch největších mrazech. Takže pro celoročně suchou pleť dostává Embryolisse krém jasný palec nahoru. Samozřejmě je nutné si uvědomit, že krém pleť prakticky nijak nezvlhčuje. Především ji chrání proti odpařování vody, ale když tu vodu nedodáte nějak jinak (hydratační sérum, toner), moc užitečný vám nebude.
Zároveň dostane palec nahoru jako podklad pod makeup. Skutečně vytváří na pleti tak hebký povrch, že se na něj nanáší makeup jedna radost. Žádné šupinky nebo zachytávání makeupu na suchých flecích. Problém je, že se nedá takhle ráno nosit celý rok, protože mám smíšenou a občas dehydratovanou pleť. Oteplilo se jen na 10 °C a už cítím, že ho budu muset odložit – začíná se mi z něj výrazně mastit čelo. Taky jsem zjistila, že je zcela nevhodný pod respirátor. S prodyšnější rouškou bylo všechno v pohodě, ale kombinace mastnějšího krému v tom vlhkém prostředí nadělala absolutní bordel. Naskákala mi hromada pupínků na bradě a jenom se to zhoršovalo, dokud jsem nepřešla na nemastný, lehčí krém.
Také si nemyslím, že se jedná o skutečně "univerzální" krém, rozhodně sedí pouze lidem na stupnici od normální po suchou pleť. Ze začátku jsem byla nadšená, jak hezky sedí i mně, jenže opravdu stačilo jen mírně teplejší počasí a konec. Používám ho teď na noc, což zvládá docela obstojně. Sice hydratuje až do rána, ale opět se budím s vcelku mastnou pletí, tedy žádný ideál.

After water, the highest concentration ingredient in Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is paraffinum liquidum, also known as liquid paraffin. Liquid paraffin can be classified as an occlusive emollient because it forms a film on the skin that acts as a water resistant barrier. According to the journal Clinical Medicine and Research, the film also helps to prevent evaporation of the skin’s natural moisture. Over time, this increases skin hydration by causing buildup of water in the stratum corneum (the uppermost layer of skin). While all skin types can benefit from emollients like liquid paraffin, emollients are especially helpful for those who have dry, rough, and/or flaky skin.

Krabičku už nemám a našla jsem dvě trochu odlišná složení, tak nevím které je novější. Berte tohle pořadí orientačně. Hlavní složkou je minerální olej, je tedy nutné zopakovat, že na minerálním oleji není nic škodlivého (sebevíc se vám přírodní kosmetika a clean beauty snaží tento názor vnutit). Ano, sice vzniká při zpracování ropy, ale ten nemá moc společného s ošetřeným olejem pro využití v kosmetice. Nevím, kam všichni chodí pro tu představu, že se to sbírá někde v rafinérce do kýblu a veze rovnou do kosmetických laboratoří. Minerální olej v kosmetice není ani komedogenní, natož tak toxický. Jeho výhodou je, že dokáže tvořit změkčující vrstvu na povrchu pleti a efektivně zabraňovat odpařování vody. Zároveň nezpůsobuje alergické reakce a je vhodný pro citlivou pleť. Na druhou stranu nedodává pleti žádné výživné látky, prostě jen sedí na povrchu.
Dále stojí za zmínku jen bambucké máslo a aloe vera, zbytek složek dotváří texturu krému. Když si tedy vezmeme tyto tři složky, máme osvědčené a otestované ingredience, které se v kosmetice používají léta letoucí. Prostě dobře fungují, proč ne. Jenomže. patří zároveň mezi ty nejlevnější.
