I’m about 2 weeks into it, and it’s doing nothing but hydrating. I was really disappointed because I hoped this would be my one true eye cream. Once I got the package open, I like it a lot better than tubs or pumps though. So I’m not totally ruling out repurchase because I do need something that hydrates my eye area.

I agree! A lot better than a pump! I just had this duh moment where I was all how the hell do you open this?! haha! I wish it actually treated, I use clinique eye repair and it does a great job on finer lines, if this did too I’d like switch out my repair for it as I like how hydrating this is in comparison!

I couldn’t open it for days. I got mine with no box so no diagram. It was crazy. At some point I got it. Don’t feel bad , you weren’t the only one . 😉

lol! Glad I’m not alone, took me a few hours to figure it out!

Originally when the product was first posted on Sephora, there was a caveat that said that this was an eye cream for women aged 18-25 (or something like that) that were only looking to “take care of their skin.” That ruled me out! That caveat has since been removed. I find it strange that they would put that bit of copy there in the first place and then remove it. That alone turned me off to it. I usually can’t use eye things that have a metal rollerball because eventually my eyes get red and swollen – either it’s the nickel in the rollerball or bacteria that sets in there. The fact that this dispenser doesn’t have a metal ball is promising, but I would like something that’s going to attack dark circles and slight bags.

Interesting! I didn’t catch that Cindy! I think that’s about right really. If you’re of a certain age this might provide some moisture but as far as anything such as depuffing, etc no way 🙁 Honestly my dear, you’re never going to find something to treat dark circles, that one is work for your concealer. I’ve tried it all and nothing actually eliminates dark circles sadly :-/

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream Review

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream ($26.50) is a new hydrating eye cream that Clinique launched late December for Spring 2016. I quickly purchased this when it popped up in Sephora but I do urge you to take advantage of the free sample available using promo code PEPEYE with any $25 purchase at Sephora.com because this is a formula you have to try for yourself to see if you’ll like it before committing to a full size in my experience.

Here’s the deal, Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream promises a lot of different benefits but only truly excels at one in my opinion. My tube is almost complete now so I feel like I can review the product fairly enough after daily use.

This is promoted as an instant brightening and hydrating eye cream that has blend of peptides to help to combact the “visible effects of your busy lift”. The formula also promises to de-stress tired looking eyes so they look brighter, hydrated, and more awake.

This comes in a 0.5 oz tube with a round ball applicator that promises a cooling tip to de-puff eyes. I actually struggled with the applicator as I didn’t understand how to squeeze the eye cream into it. It has a little hole where product was supposed to flow but I twisted and squeezed and nothing. I read the enclosed instructions but there was nothing about how to get the eye cream to flow. Finally, I realized at the side of the box there was a diagram showing you had to pull tbe ball applicator up and squeeze to release product. Ummm yeah that was my duh moment.
