How to use Philips Lumea?
It’s a really easy task to start the Lumea, follow those steps for a guaranteed successful treatment:
- Shave before starting the treatment
- Plug in the Lumea with the power cable
- Press the Power button, it will light up to the white color
- If you’re a first-timer, use the Smartskin sensor on the device, if you’re not, then you can choose the intensity level manually
- Position the head of the device with a 90-degree angle on your skin
- Press the trigger button. The Device will flash a light
- After the flash, slid to the next spot and repeated the motion
- Make sure you cover your skin in flashes and avoid overlapping
- When you finish the treatment session, press & hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it off

Knowing that IPL uses flashes of light to damage the hair at the root, to allow the light to effectively access the hairs as close to the root as possible you’ll need to shave, epilate or wax before treatment.
