Pozostała końcówka mieszka usuwa się w przeciągu kilku lub kilkunastu dni. Następnie, na obszarze na którym przeprowadzony był zabieg, nie powstają żadne włoski. Biorąc pod uwagę indywidualne właściwości każdego pacjenta oraz miejsce, które zostało poddane zabiegowi i kolor włosków okres ten może potrwać do kilkunastu tygodni. Seria od pięciu do siedmiu zabiegów niweluje owłosienie aż do 80-90 %, przy czym reszta włosków jest o wiele cieńsza oraz delikatniejsza.
